For years I have wanted to work with glass but have been too intimidated. Seeing the works of Julia Malia Cordi reignited that desire. In August 2022 we started collaborating on this piece.

The subtle swirl of white, blown glass, and porcelain flowers cast beautiful shadows.

This collaboration has sparked a new series with Julia, Hawai'i born artist, craftsperson, and educator. Her love of natural beauty, efficient design, and exploration into the psyche inspires her work; whether it’s a study in the optics of glass or reevaluating form and function as a maker and designer.

Industrial adhesive used to secure porcelain flowers. Feather dusting recommended.
